Our community is hugely important to me and I enjoy being active and involved. In 2020, I will serve as the Vice President of the County Council. In addition to my elected office, I currently hold the positions of Vice President of the Delaware County Republican Women’s Club, Treasurer of the Young Republicans of Delaware County (previously serving as President for four years and Vice President for two years) and am a current board member for Delaware County Community Corrections and Muncie Civic Theatre. In the past two years, I also worked on the executive team for both Tony Skinner’s campaign for Delaware County Sherriff and Dan Ridenour’s campaign for Mayor of Muncie.

For the past 15 years, I’ve had the privilege of working for Newell Brands (formerly known as Alltrista/Jarden), a Fortune 500 company. I currently work as a Senior Analyst with the Consumer Services Team where I analyze consumer-driven data and use it to create a story for the business.  I also serve as the in-house Home Canning Expert for our Fresh Preserving brands. In my time with the company I’ve held a variety of roles, primarily focused on data analytics, maintaining our quality and safety standards, and providing our consumers with the best possible experience. I’m also a member of our Employee Relations Team where I help coordinate cross-functional team-building events and support local charities and organizations, such as United Way.

My family moved to Muncie when I was an infant, and I attended DelCom schools where I participated in a wide variety of community-based and athletic activities. After graduating from Delta High School, I attended Purdue University where I earned degrees from the College of Health and Human Science in Individual and Family Science and the Purdue Polytechnic Institute in Organizational Leadership and Supervision. At Purdue, I pursued my lifelong passion for dance as a member of the Golduster Dance Team, on which I also served as Cheer Captain for two years.

My association with Purdue didn’t end when I graduated – I’m currently on the board of the Purdue Club of Muncie and I attend any Purdue event I can, including football games, basketball games, and the annual Boilermaker Ball. Boiler Up! (Don’t worry IU fans…we can still be friends!)

It has been my privilege and honor to represent you on our Delaware County Council for the past few years. I am very proud of the teamwork on the Council and diligent budgeting across all departments within Delaware County that has enabled us to maintain our budget and work to stop borrowing from the bank. I look forward to continuing the work we have begun – we are just getting started – as I humbly ask for your support in 2020.
